Reporting
to: Quality Manager
Location:
Smith
Electric Vehicles, Kansas City, MO
Main purpose of job:
To control and maintain quality documents supporting ISO/TS
certification. Monitor daily quality
activities associated with incoming, in-process, and out-going products.
Key
responsibilities:
·
Organize and
maintain all ISO and QOS documentation
·
Monitor daily
quality status of incoming, in-process, and outgoing products
·
Monitor daily
inventory of rejected components and keep detailed records
·
Collect and
present quality data supporting continuous improvement activities
·
Interface with
all SEV business units to assist with development and documentation of their
business practices and key performance indicators
·
Maintain safety
at the highest level
·
Participate in
risk assessments and the implementation of safe working practices
·
Conduct internal
audits to assure compliance to documented processes and procedures
·
Facilitate
problem solving team meetings aimed at improving quality and reducing waste
·
Perform other
duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills & experience
required:
·
Previous
ISO/TS/QS experience assisting with the implementation of these requirements
·
Ability to
facilitate Quality System sessions to gather requirements to meet ISO
requirements
·
Proficiency in
MS Office products, specifically Excel and Word, ability to develop form,
charts, graphs
·
Ability to
revise and apply procedures and methods related to the company QOS
·
Ability to
assist with material review activities on Company or supplier products
·
Must have good
problem solving skills utilizing disciplined approach (8D)
·
Good
interpersonal skills
·
Self motivating
- must have the ability to work with minimal guidance & supervision
·
Must be a
genuinely interested in manufacturing quality
·
Must be
enthusiastic and have the ability to learn new skills
Knowledge, skills &
experience desired:

Quality
Operating System experience – Advanced Planning, Ongoing Process, Incoming
Supplier Quality, Inspection/Testing, Outgoing Process, Document/Change
Control, Audits/Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement
·
Manufacturing
background
·
Basic knowledge
of statistics
·
Experience with
GD&T, component layout, gauge maintenance/calibration, gauge R&R
studies
·
Associates
degree in Quality/Manufacturing/IT
