ASQ FAQ
I can't remember my
user name or password.
- Your user
name is your ASQ member number or your e-mail on file with ASQ. You can
retrieve your password by calling ASQ at 1-800-248-1946. Make sure you have
your member number handy so they can look up your password.
- You can send them right
to http://www.asq.org/customer-service/faq/log-in.html.
There are options to have us e-mail their password or receive a password
reminder. And they don’t even need their member number – just the e-mail address
(the one they used when they joined).
Where is the
recertification journal/information?
- The
recertification journal is located at http://www.asq.org/certification/docs/recert_journal_app.pdf.
You can find more information about recertification by going to ASQ's website,
then "Training and Certification". Click on "Recertification" and I usually go
to "Frequently Asked Questions" to find information. You will need to log in to
get to most of this information.
- Here is the
Recertification Journal link - http://www.asq.org/certification/recertification/rucredits/index.html.
Unfortunately, the page and links are “Recertification Units.” I think that is
misleading, and I am going to work with Certification to change that to read
“Recertification Journal.”
What are the dates for
certification exams?
- Go to
ASQ's website and click on "Training and Certification". Exam dates are listed
under "Exam Dates". You might also check the ASQ1301 website for local exam
dates (www.asq1301.org).
- I’m going to look at
changing the order of the Certification links. This one comes up a lot, and I
think “Exam Dates” needs to come before “Apply for Certification” and “Prepare
for an Exam.”
How do I update my
address, e-mail information, ...?
- Log into
the ASQ website and go to "My Account" (it is at the top of the webpage). Click
on "My Contact Information" and make updates. You can also call ASQ at
1-800-248-1946 to make changes.
- We enhanced some of the
My ASQ features recently. There are three links to “My Account” – one on the
left, one at the top, and one on the right (Manage my account.) Hopefully, that
will alleviate some of the confusion on how to do this.
How do I become a
Senior Member? (or Fellow or change from electronic to regular)
- Log into
the ASQ website and click on "Membership". Click on the tab called "Upgrade
Your Membership" and make a selection from the list. Let me know if you want to
be a Fellow as I can submit your information to ASQ. More information on Fellow
Membership can be found at http://www.asq.org/members/account/fellow.html.
- We just improved the
Senior member application. They can do it all online at http://www.asq.org/membership/individuals/advanced.html.
At the bottom of the page, they just need to click on the link for their benefit
option, and it will give them an online form to fill out – no downloading,
printing, faxing, or mailing required.
