implements educational programs for the Section such as
conferences and/or special seminars.

| Qualifications: |
Must be an active ASQ
member in good standing and will have preferably been a
participant in Section committee activities. Person
should possess excellent communication skills and the
ability to develop relationships with others. Also must
be willing to commit the specified time estimated to
fulfill the Education Chair’s duties. |
| Time
Commitment: |
This is a one year term
requiring a minimum of 7-10 hours/month to fulfill the
responsibilities of the position. |

| Responsibilities: |
- Serve as Education Chair from July
1 - June 30.
- Create an educational plan to
address educational issues of the Section, or
enhance previous Education Chair’s plan.
- Conduct a needs assessment to
determine Section’s educational priorities.
- Arranges and determines format,
presenters, resources, objectives, teaching
methods and materials for educational events.
- Evaluates results from all
educational events and presents to Section
Executive Committee.
- Informs Section members of courses
offered by ASQ Headquarters’ Education
Department.
- Works with Section Recertification
Chair to determine certification course needs of
the Section.
