FAQ 1: Why I am not receiving any local information from ASQ (e.g.,
weekly emails)?
Answer: If you are an Organizational
member without an additional individual membership that includes the section
membership you are not included on the Kansas City Section's mailing list. You
can join the Kansas City Section by paying an additional $20 to ASQ and telling
them you want to be in Section 1301 (Kansas City).
ASQ
organizational member employees who are current Full, Senior, or Fellow ASQ members
are encouraged to keep their individual memberships to maintain benefits like:
• Quality
Progress (print version)
•
Participation in sections, forums, and divisions
•
Voting rights
•
Elected volunteer opportunities
•
Continuity of membership for unemployment and retirement dues relief programs
and for advancement to Senior and Fellow membership levels
Associate memberships do not include the section
membership. You can join the Kansas City
Section by paying an additional $20 to ASQ and telling them you want to be in
Section 1301 (Kansas City).
FAQ 2: Why am I a member of the Wichita Section and no longer a member
of the Kansas City Section?
Answer: ASQ National uses your
geographical location to determine your membership section. If you live or work
in Kansas, they may have assigned you to Wichita. Call ASQ National at
1-800-248-1946 to change your Section to Kansas City (1301).
FAQ 3: What are Forums/Divisions?
Answer: Forums or divisions are
focused within a specific industry or topic. The Audit Division, Inspection
Division, and Quality Management Division are just a few that you can join. A
complete list of Forums/Divisions can be found at www.asq.org
.
FAQ 4: Can I become a Senior or Fellow if I am not a Regular member?
Answer: No. Only Regular members
can become Seniors or Fellows.
