Position title: Recertification Chair

Coordinates and manages the Section’s activities related to ASQ’s recertification program.

Reports To: Section Executive Committee
Qualifications: Must be an active ASQ member in good standing and certified as a CQE, CRE, CQA, CSQE, or Certified Quality Manager. This position requires strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Serves as Recertification Chair from July 1 - June 30.
  • Manage applications for recertification
  • Evaluate applications and validate areas of professional activity
  • Timely submission of information to ASQ Headquarters
  • Maintain contact with applicants to keep them informed of the status of their application
  • Provide timely information related to the submission of recertification applications/journals to Section Newsletter Editor
Time Commitment: This is a one year term requiring approximately 4 - 6 hours/month to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. The recertification process will be concentrated in the months of April/May/June and October/ November/

December since recertification deadlines are June 30 and December 31
